Pipboy 2000 - A Post Nuclear Sansa e200 Theme

Hey everyone...after many, many hours, I have finally come to a version of my theme that I am satisfied with enough for public consumption. The preview images don't really do it much justice as the brightness and layout of the items is slightly off. You have to see it for yourself =)

This theme was inspired by the Pipboy 2000 from the Fallout series. This was a serious labor of love. If you have any suggestions for improving this theme, please let me know. I want to thank all the people who made themes before me for creating a knowledgebase for me to follow, and thank you to the developers of H3Mod. Please enjoy.

ok. got it all taken care of now!

had a hell of a time...h3mod was being a pain. i guess it just doesn't want to make a .h3theme for me. but...these files will create a .mi4 and .rom for you. they are the zipped PNGs. You can just load a virgin firmware, import the images and then save firmware.

Awesome, thought of making a quick fallout theme, but could not find enough stuff to make a theme off of and wasn't ready to make any of my own stuff Like the navigation with the customised Pip-Boy screens.


I needa find my fallout CDs and play them again for good old times sake.

glad you liked it. your theme was on my player for the longest time and actually i used yours as sort of my template for learning...which is why my initial .h3theme had your files in it by accident lol.

and yes, fallout 1 and 2 were awesome. can't wait for fallout 3 by Bethesda.

I love all the backgrounds, the one I was talking about is like... when your listening to a song and you go to music options or radio options. The picture of the robot. Seems like a different style then the rest. Probably just my opinion.

Now that I loaded it onto my player and used it awhile I agree with this point. While it is a picture of powerarmor from fallout, which totaly rocks, it sorta does clash with the rest of the screens.

Sorta like those Geckos (and all other creatures added) in Fallout 2, never quite fit in with the rest of the game scenery

ya i wasnt actually a big fan of the powerarmor screen myself either. i will try and come up with something that's a bit more "pipboy" ish.

any other suggestions? if i'm going to work on it, i might as well WORK on it.

Somthing Simple works best in those screens, as what your focusing on is the text anyway

Maybe use that curant background grey, as the background blue (As the scroll bar, is white, or best to be left white because of the side scroll problem), and use this, or parts of it as the new background grey? Either way, its clearly falloutish and well it doesn't have any specific detail to be focused on:

hey .. the theme looks cool..
but could you make an european version? can´t use it ..
if i import the images in H3mod i get an error.. (also renamed the menu images from ....A to ...E

Just load a european version of the firmware and make changes to the menu screen, the EU version has a few different sized menu screens from the US version, mainly due to the EU version not having the Radio icon in the origional sansa FW. other then that theres no difference.

*Edit* You can even look at my Raven theme for the dimensions file names etc if you want ;P I have both a EU and an American version of the image pack... Its not hard for themes that only show singular menu images (as all you need to do is modify the image sizes), but its harder for themes that show multiple icons at the same time in some sort of order, like in the origional theme half circle.
