A Perfect Day - A Perfect Day - 2012



A departure from Labyrinth, more modern rockish. For me this is Roberto Tiranti best fit ever. A lot of the Labyrinth stuff and even the Headrush cd he just didn't seem to mesh all that great with the material.

Aerosmith - Music From Another Dimension - 2012 - Deluxe Edition



Not a bad album. Maybe a little overly long, and the 2/3 of the three bonus tracks aren't all that great, and that' s reflected in the used/reselling prices. Haven't checked out the DVD yet.

Another oddball package too.

Stone Sour - House Of Gold & Bones Part 1 - 2012



Much harder than I remembered from previous efforts, kind of surprised me. There's supposed to be a part II coming out in 2013, and I read this is conceptually supposed to be a mixture of Pink Floyd's The Wall and Alice In Chains - Dirt, but I'm not convinced of the connections.

Tremonti - All I Was - 2012



Saw Tremonti on The Metal Show (looked like a bunch of the episodes are available on vh1's website) with King Diamond, and he said this was his "metal" band. To me it doesn't sound to much divergent from Creed or Alter Bridge.

Blessed By A Broken Heart - Feel The Power - 2011



Really digging this one, have had it for awhile, and it's grown on me. It's kind of all over the map stylistically and the transitions sounded strange the first couple of listens. A shame the singer has left as they really were getting it together.

Kissin' Dynamite - Money, Sex & Power - 2012



Kind of the same deal. I wasn't all that impressed the first couple of listens, but I'm really starting to get into it more than the 1st one (still don't have the 2nd one). I skipped the custom edition with the poker chips and stuff.

B.o.B is one of the few modern hip hop/rap artists that actually has talent. He's got some very good songs, even on mixtapes . Warning, strong language.

Helloween - 7 Sinners - 2010



Here I thought the first cd of 2013 I was going to buy was going to be the new Pink Cream 69 disc, but Amazon has the new Helloween Premium Edition on sale for $9.99, so I went back to check this out.

Andi Deris era Helloween has never been all that exciting to me (other than the spot he opened up for DR), most of the albums have been uneven, but I have to say this one is a lot better than I remembered.

Lee Ritenour - Overtime - 2012



Despite the nearly three hours of length (minus a few interview spots), Rit spends more time being amiable musical director for a huge crowd rather than rippping it up himself. Still there's spirited renditions of Captain Fingers and Wes Bound.
