If I looked at the first photo, I think they might be real. Then the third one does look like the fakes. So I am still not sure.

L-shape jack in changed?
hi guys I'm new here and just received my Senheisser CX 300-B from my sister. I couldn't order these since I'm located in Taiwan for work at the moment so I had my sister order one for me. I suggested her to order them from the US Applestore online.
The box itself is the new package version as pictured upbove that takes awhile to open lol. However I noticed the L jack has changed to a much more slimmer L shape.  (sorry for the blurry picture) can anyone who recently ordered from the Applestore or has the new CX300's from the new package design confirm this? As for the quality... well its my first inner canal earphones and they are defiantly better than my default ipod ones but so far the "In your face bass boost" I have yet to experience. Perhaps I'm wearing them wrong? Right now I'm letting it "breaking in" leaving it on with my ipod to see if things sounds better later on. Hope someone can clear this up. Thanks.

Sennheiser might have been forced to changed the plug to be compatible with the ridiculously botched jacks on the iPhone and iPod Touch. At least that would be my guess... however, I did never hear about anything like this plug before.
You should hear heavy bass from the CX300 straight out of the box, breaking/burning in doesn't increase the CX300's bass. Either they're fake or you're not getting a good seal with them. Try other sizes of the silicon tips.

I bought my second pair of CX-300 headphones. Both from Ebay, previous pair about a year ago. While neither of them look overtly fake by the comparison pictures about, they're not quite the same.
I don't know if it's just like breaking shoes in, but the new ones don't feel the same in my ear. The packaging's very convincing, but the buds have some slight differences. Who knows, maybe the last ones I got were fake, not sure whether to question the seller on ebay, but holding off leaving feedback. Edit: This made my mind up for me. Well I rodered my EP 630's from amazon
They arrived in what seems to be genuine packaging, yet some of the wording on the package is different than what I have seen on other packages of the Ep 630's What are some things to look for in the Creative EP 630's to determine real or fake? is the silicone on the ear piece supposed to be that thin/flemzy? What are some signs of a true fake besides the package. The package seemed to be like the genuine ones with a few differences in the wording on the package, could the package be different for different international markets?

The pictured Sennheisers could be real. The problem is that the guy can simply send fakes to you. Can't you get them from a reputable online store?

I'd recommend reading through the rest of the thread. There are links to eBay sellers, and some of them seem to be selling real CX300s.
