Default 1.03.01HBETA Feedback/Features/ Bugs/ Future Release Request

Hey Guys just wanted to thank you for the great info and I installed the new firmware on my e280 and here is my feedback...........
1. NO need to format unit (I had if full and rebuilt db when I first rebooted and it was fine) I formatted anyway and no benefit - but you do lose ALL data with this format - yes that includes all samples - I had them backed up so no biggie - I like the sample pics and movie just to show people - also lost my FM settings
2. Have had no problems with instability even though still BETA!!!!
3. PLAYLISTS DO NOT SEEM TO WORK! Anyone Else same prob?
4. LOVE THE FAST BOOT FEATURE
5. MICROSD / TRANSFLASH
a. AWESOME FINALLY NO ANNOYING REFRESH ON START
b. REFRESH ONLY ON CARD INSERT WHEN UNIT IS OFF OR ON
c. IF CARD IS REMOVED WHEN UNIT IS OFF - UNIT TURNS ON / REFRESHES!
d. NO REFRESH IF UNIT IS ON AND CARD IS REMOVED!
6. LOVE THE NEW BOOT / EXIT GRAPHICS
A GREAT MOVE IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION
FEATURE REQUESTED!!! :
PLAY BY DIRECTORY !!!!????? IF YOU HAVE DIFFERENT CATEGORIES OF MUSIC YOU PUT THEM IN A DIRECTORY AND PLAY - I GOT USED TO THIS ON MY MPIO !

That means the unit is not in sleep or off mode, but in a stasis. Does anyone know how long it would stay in that state before draining the battery out?

I also like the firmware. But it sure has its bugs, and most of them are related to the new standbye thingy. Sometimes it refuses to turn off and freezes in the goodbye message. Also, the custom EQ bug persists. Another thing i don't like is that it shows the file name instead of the tag title, it's like: 'songtitle.mp3'.

Seems like a good firmware update. Fast boot, New exit and boot anims. thats sounds fun. Wonder when it will be out of Beta.

1. The player showing file name is fixed if you format and reload your songs.
2. Playlists work fine if using MTP to sync them from WMP. That is the only way I tried.

I had done all that: installed new firmware, formatted and re-copied all my songs back and still the filename problem persists.

One more thing i've noticed when switching from one fw to another, I think the new fw sounds louder, but it could be just me. Anyone else notice the same?

Just out of boredom, I did the upgrade to my E260 today.

1. My Playlists & Album Art are working 100%
I'm using WMP11

2. The playback is definetly louder.

I did notice 2 bugs (so far):

a. When listing all songs, (sometimes) a worm eats it's way from the right hand side to the left; either on the top or the bottom of the screen.

b. When adding my first song to the "Go List", the unit appeared to lock up. So I did the procedure to force a full power down .
Apparently the unit had gotten hung up in loading up the "Go List". My "Go List" had 23 songs; instead of one.

Default Suggestion

I dont know if anyone has already posted this... but could we get some asian language support for the next firmware? or ASAP? Oh like... KOREAN??

And someone mentioned here as well but I'll post it here as well... more people means more importance?? hehe

And it has to do with just playing off of the folder. What i mean by that is, the E260 automatically arranges the audio files like the IPOD (which was MAJOR annoyance for me). So i got this but... this obviously is doing the samething makes me sad...

Just the two suggestions from me for now

I haven't tried it -- having read some of the issues others have talked about.

It still has few bugs:
1. Sometimes file names displayed instead of song names. Even after formatting and reloading songs.
2. At least once it got stuck, I had to press power button for 20 seconds to turn it off.
3. Sometimes after connecting to PC it "forgot" last song it was playing, even if nothing was transferred to device. Considering that I mostly use it to listen to audiobooks, it's quite serious bug for me.
4. Sometimes it messes the order of the files, especially if loading from linux in MSC mode. Also, very serious issue for audiobook readers.

Is anyone else having problems with response time? I upgraded to check it out last night around 9PM and it progressively got worse over time. Now it takes forever to respond to any keys pressed at all. Sometime it will get stuck at the boot animation and I have to hard-boot it. I'm gonna try to downgrade and re-upgrade and see if it makes any difference.
