Support for Flash lite 1.1??

I am trying to develop a Flash application for the iRiver Clix.

I need to use a feature of Flash lite 1.1 called, loadVariables

Do you know if the iRiver Clix supports Flash lite 1.1??

My line of code...

loadVariables("vars.txt", _root);

is not responding on the Clix which makes me think it does not support 1.1

if i remember correctly U10= flash lite 1.1
Clix= flash lite 2.0

I also remember reading something about not being able to load text files (being something on the wishlist for future firmware / clix2).
