4.2 doesn't fix any issues that i know of currently on the iphone or touch, it's offering a lot if ipad changes but nothing substantial to the iphone/touch aside from lol printing wirelessly.

Yeah having a small capacity device would hinder jailbreak sadly. Luckly my phone is 32gb and jailbreak offers far more than apple does and improves upon many stock apple options. But i assume you didn't really get to use jailbreak enough to realize this due to the small amount of memory.

Without jailbreak i would rather have an android device.

I have iOS 4.2 install on my iPod Touch 4G & from what I found is that the sound quality has change & sound better then the Zune HD now, yes I did say that because it sound more clear & clean with more treble & little more bass. also the iOS is faster & use less ram too, games run smoother now also.


Anyways here my wallpaper & waiting for my iMac Mini to come from the UPS.

Odds are it's just the placebo effect messing with you, as there are no changes in regards to audio in 4.2, and there have been no reports of any sound difference between 4.1 and 4.2 on the internet anywhere. A simple ABX of the two players should dispel that difference you think you hear.

Good to hear the ram usage is better now, and since they have already jailbroken 4.2 i look forward to upgrading.

Installed Win7 Enterprise trial on my old Dell Optiplex GX270...not compatible w/Aero, but it runs GREAT...maybe even faster than XP SP3. Specs are Pentium 4@2.8GHz, 1GB DDR RAM, 60GB HDD, Intel 82865G integrated graphics. Wish I could keep it for longer than 90 days ........
