It's actually just XP. I use Litestep as an alternative shell (basically meaning I'm just not using a normal taskbar) and Rainmeter for all the on desktop info.

Wow, XP is the last thing I would have expected! Nice work . I've heard of Rainmeter, but never heard of Litestep before.

Oh, Litestep is very nice. Almost as easy to code as Rainmeter; you can basically make your desktop work any way you want it. See those system tray icons? That's the only visible part of my setup. Right click brings out a customizable popup from where to access all programs and whatever, middle click shows a similar popup listing all open windows. It's a very nice way to make your system seem cooler than it actually is.

Nice...might have to give it a try on my XP box . Will have to see if it's compatible with Windows 7, but if its not that's ok...I like my 7 desktop the way it is now.

Windows 7 seems quite nice; I haven't tried it out due to rather lousy computer situation I'm in, but I'm not quite sure if Litestep plays nice with everything they crammed in the desktop in 7.
Be warned though, I try to not tinker around with Litestep too much, since it always makes me use an entire weekend getting it 'just' right.

Thanks, I'll just skip Litestep on my Win7 laptop, then. Will have to give it a try on my XP box though...I find the XP interface rather boring compared to Win7.
