Looking for player with permanent sleep timer function

I'm looking for an mp3 player which allows me to set the sleep timer permanently so that this function operates every time I switch the machine on (rather than have to reset it with a million button presses each time when I'm half asleep).

Other considerations are I'm in the UK, I need minimum 16gb storage or an expansion slot that works efficiently. Files will be mp3 or wma. I need good battery life. Sound quality is not that important as it will only be used for spoken word.

I currently have an ancient Creative Vision M which works exactly as I want for going to sleep but the battery doen't last long. I have a Sony for daytime use which has good battery life but you have to set sleep timer for every use.
