Wow, thanks.
It worked great. Had trouble at first finding the rom file but after some nifty thinking and the use of 7zip (the files are in the auto update exe) I was back up and running. Down side is I have hours of syncing to do. |

You said that I need to rename the mi4 files and rom files, but first:
1.WHERE CAN I GET THOSE FILES ?! 2.RENAME THEM TO WHAT ?! cause I downloaded that hebrew support update and after a month my sansa is stuck like everybody else mentioned. I logged into recovery mod but I didn't know what to do next - WHICH files are you talking about and where can I get them ? Please help it's urgent! |

Download the firmware here: http://zefie.com/files/sansa/e200/firmware/
Extract the downloaded file Rename the .rom and .mi4 files to pribootLoader.rom and firmware.mi4 respectively. (It was mentioned right at the beginning of this thread). |

So I downloaded these files, named the firmware.mi4 and pribootloader.rom
switched to recovery mode yet nothing seemed to happen, except the fact that instead of just showing the sansa monster and jamming, it shows the animation, waits a few seconds than shows the animation again. Have I done something wrong of not like I should ? |

By the way, as I logged in my sansa again to recovery mode the files I dragged earlier seemed to be gone, could that be the reason why the process didn't work ?

Which animation? The files should be gone. That's normal.
Download "these" files? You only download 1 file, depending on which version you want to downgrade to. I think 1.00.12A is the best (if you use the American version), the exact link is here http://zefie.com/files/sansa/e200/fi...200A1_00_12.7z You didn't say you extracted the files. Did you? |

Ok ... this is what iv'e done from the begining :
1.Switch to recovery mode 2.Logged the device into the computer. 3.Downloaded the file you told me, than extracted the mi4 and rom and renamed them to the names you told me, than dragged them into the E: drive. At first I downloaded 1.02, but when you recommended the 1.00 I tried it aswell. 4.I resetted the device, and now the animation has changed to the 1.00 animation(which means that the firmaware probably changed), yet the animation appears, then fades, then starts over, and over and over. What Should I Do ?! |

You have successfully removed the Hebrew firmware. Now repeat what you did (except renaming, cuz it's not the Hebrew firmware anymore) but also copy a blank sansa.fmt file to the recovery drive (just use notepad to create a blank text file named "sansa.fmt" (without quotes) but you have to make sure it's .fmt, not .txt <-- very common mistake if you use notepad to create the file)

I Just can't believe it !!!
It's like everything I'll do won't help !! I did what you said about putting the original files BL_SD_boardSupportSD.rom and PP5022.mi4 back in the 16mb drive, created a "sansa.fmt" file and dragged it aswell, then found out it formatted my device but whatever, and yet nothing seems to happen ! It resets, shows me the sansa animation, then fades, then repeats. It's driving me crazy !!!!!!!! Thanks for the help so far, though .. |
