Default Galaxy Player 3.6 utterly refuses to charge...

Hello, everybody!

I have a Galaxy Player 3.6" model from Samsung. I am having an issue with it charging itself. I've tried multiple different Android cords. They all work just fine on my Nokia Lumia 521 phone. Could it be possible that there is a short in the Player's cable port? I desperately need some help here.

I've plugged it into my the USB port of my Samsung 500P4C laptop and through the AC adapters, nothing.

Should I actually leave the Player plugged in for a certain period of time? Because this is just making me angry. I have taken pretty decent care of the device. The battery cover though is very snappy, making the whole thing feel like it'll break.

Any help/advice is greatly appreciated!
