Default Federal Prison Sansa Clip+ 8GB Clear back FOR SALE

Hello-
I have a "Federal Prison edition" SanDisk Sansa Clip+ 8GB that just came back from being "deinstitutionalized" and has normal firmware on it again, ready to go. It's in excellent shape and includes the player, instruction manual, ear buds and the clear rubber case for it too (not shown).

I do not have a box or USB cable. Asking $40.

Thanks!

Welcome to ABi

A unique item like your should bring a fair amount of interest. The pic are well done and that tends to help attract buyers.

Good luck with your sale and don't forget you can close your own thread in the Classified subforum.

Thanks - sorry I posted in the wrong subforum initially, had some browser issues which didn't help matters.

Not a big deal. We like to keep it casual around here.

I've seen post here and on the Rockbox forums about the BOP mp3 player program. From what I understand once they're deinstitutionalized they go back to having all the standard features. Has that been your experience?

Yep, that's correct! When they have the prison-specific firmware on them, they boot up and show the inmate's name and number and how many days of use remaining, before going to the menu screen. They have to be connected to a BOP computer/kiosk at least once every 14 days to reinitialize, otherwise they become inactive. The MicroSD card slot and microphone/recording capabilities are disabled as well as some Settings functions.

Now it works like a normal Clip+.
