Default Bluetooth adapter for PC with decent range

Does anyone know of a decent bluetooth USB adapter (to stream audio from a Windows PC), that has transmission range beyond 10 feet or so?

I'm looking for one that doesn't cut out every time I go to the toilet.

Surprisingly my phone (Samsung S3) has amazing bluetooth transmission range (probably 30 feet at least). There MUST be a PC USB adapter that has the same capabilities?

Bluetooth can be problematic, the best case scenario for bluetooth is little to no reflective surfaces. Although reflective surfaces can help a signal get further away, too many will just cause noise.

I wouldn't try figuring out how to bounce a bluetooth signal arround an apartment though, just take your phone with you or switch to a RF transmitter setup instead.

*Edit* Oh and about the bluetooth adapters, technically a "Class 1" bluetooth transmitter is what you want. Most transmitters are marketed as such, so I don't know how reliable just googling for that is.

Are you using Bluetooth headphones or a speaker to transmit to?

I use the Logitech. H800 headset and i can hear to about 30 ft away

but i also put the adaptor on a 12 cable and have it up high
