I bought the JVC HAS400 recently. This was only around $25. It is superb though, and has great detail, strong bass, and nice highs. It also feels very solidly built. If you blindfolded someone and put this headphone on him, he might think this is a $200 headphone. It is that good. It reminds me of electrostatic headphones(I never owned those, but did listen to them a few times).

My A900s, back in March 2011 (lol)

I'm looking into some HD650s to replace them, but not now since I don't have any income at the moment.

If earbuds count, my latest purchase is a second hand pair of Sony MDR-E565 off Ebay. This model was sold between ca 1990 - 1995, and sounds much better than most earbuds sold today. However, it is a small step down in quality from the generation before that (late 80's-early 90's models E484 & E464). That generation in turn is a small step down from the early/mid 80's generation with models such as E252 & E282.
The last pair of big headphones was Audio Technica ES10 that I bought in Japan in the autumn of 2011.

Bought a set of Sennheiser HD25 Amperiors when they were on sale on amazon. Needed something to replace my TMA-1 which got damaged from the headphone cable connector after an unfortuante drop onto some concrete from fairly long drop. This is basically what happened to my HD25 SP's- but in a much more expidited manor Namely condensing 5 years of use (After 5 years of use on a BA concord) to 2 and a half and a 1 second drop.

Was going to taken them apart and tinker them back to functioning condition- but havn't gone through the bother yet. Thinking I may try painting them as well- as the rubber coating got damaged in the drop. Although only on one ear cup. I still have my spare old headband to do a practise application on and I'm just looking to gather all the things I need from reading customcans.co.uk's guide on how they paint their cans.

The last headphones I bought was the Sennheiser HD 545 off my friend for $15. They sound very similar to the HD 600 and beats any other headphones I have by far including Audio-Technica AD900, Sennheiser HD 558, Triple.Fi 10, and Incase Sonic.

Apparently these vintage HD 545 uses the same drivers as the HD 600 and HD 580 but with different impedance so that's why they sound similar.

Soundstage and imaging on these are amazing and the tonal balance is excellent.

Just remembered that my last purchase was the Audio-Technica ATH-AD900, not the HD545. HD545 is still better though. The ATH-AD900 do have a very wide soundstage although it lacks bass and sounds slightly thin.

Well mines WOULD have been UE Triple Fi 10's if Logitech honored the purchase... Email today saying they won't be coming.

"Thank you for placing an order on the Logitech online store.

We are aware that you have ordered the Ultimate Ears TripleFi 10 from our website. In a short period of time, there has been an enormous number of orders and the system was not able to show the inventory status in the shopping cart real-time. Due to this system error, I regret to inform you that we will have to cancel your order.

Logitech values you as a loyal customer and to compensate for this incident, we are providing you a Discount code. This code will allow you to place an order from our website with a discount of 40%."
