LOD Volume holdback?
Hi guys, I just got myself a FiiO L5 LOD for my E474, it's working fine but I noticed something I thought I should ask you guys. I don't know how to put it, but when you push your volume past 23/24 (headphone out) you get the feeling the volume 'holds back'? I mean, I don't know if I made myself clear, but it feels like the loudness is forcefully lowered. My Walkman is not EU volume capped.
Now my problem is as follows -
I used keep volume at 20 on E474 when using headphone out, so it's not noticeable at all. But I just plugged in the L5 LOD (so it disables the players volume control) and the same "holding back" comes back regardless of what volume I set my E06 at. It's getting a bit irritating.
EQ - Clear Bass Maxed, 16khz +2
DSEE - OFF
Clear Stereo - OFF
Dynamic Normalizer - OFF
SP Output Optimizer - OFF
AVLS - OFF
FiiO E06 is set at NO EQ. (Although same "holding back" happens in EQ1 red /EQ2 blue)
Edit : Okay I just lowered Clear Bass one notch to +2, I think the "holding back" is gone... but I'd loved more Clear Bass , put the E06 into EQ2 Blue, no problems. So why is the "holding back" happening? Also anyone use DSEE, Clear Stereo, Dynamic Normalizer?
