Default USB not recognised

Hi, I've had a Cowon X7 160gb for about 3 years now. All working well till a few days ago when I decided to activate bluetooth to play on a wireless Logitech speaker. Worked on the Logitech no problems.
A few days later I decided to add some songs to Cowon. That's when I got the USB not recognised msg. It doesn't matter where I plug in my Cowon - at home, at work where I've plugged it in before. Still same result, no USB connection. I've turned off bluetooth on player, I've tried resetting player and loading default settings all to no avail. Can anybody help me?

Welocme to ABI

There could be a possibility your USB cable is hosed, and you might want to get a replacement. Also, are you sure you're plugigng the USB cable in as far as possible? I doubt if activating bluetooth caused this malfunction to occur.

Hi Musichound, the USB cable I use for 90% of my plug-ins doesn't work, but neither does the spare one as well. I will buy another one just to see, but it seems odd that the cable only stopped working at the same time I switched bluetooth on for the first time. A few "experts" have wondered if it's not the cable/s but the input on the machine which may be faulty. In which case I guess I have a real problem!!
