Rooting all depends on what you want to do with it. I rooted mine before i even used it for the first time just in case but, still really haven't used the root much. I am running cm 10.1 nighties and use an app called cyandelta which just downloads the difference between nighties rather than the entire rom. It's pretty sweet. Thing collects fingerprints like crazy though.

I did a little research on rooting Android 4.2.2 for the Nexus 7, and didn't find much. Maybe I just have to look harder, lol. Does anyone know of a way to root though? @mamamia88, that does sound cool.

If my tax return was going to be better, I might have done just that. But as it stands, I might not even replace my TV like I wanted to.

I have successfully rooted my Nexus 7 using this tutorial ! Titanium Backup is installed along with Avast! Antivirus. I'm going to look around for some cool root apps now. Feel free to suggest any apps you enjoy.

At least now you can stop browsing the Web on the Touch's tiny screen(the horror!) and just use it for music and stuff.... now you can do your browsing on the Nexus.
