they look comfortable. But these are the sellers I purchased my DT770M headphones from and they would not accept returns. fuck them.

Do you still have the DT770 M? According to Beyerdynamic, the only difference between the Pro and M are the earpads and vent holes each side near the hinges like this. They even admit that the M version will sound worse than the Pro version because of these holes. If you still have them sitting there collecting dusts, it might be worth a shot to drill vent holes to make it like the Pro.

I think the ones I received may have been defective. Once I re-flowed the solder joints then the drivers sounded MUCH better. But they still don't sound as good at a normal Dt770 pro, even with a driver swap.

It could play a slight roll, but wouldn't make them sound as horrible as it was at first. Once I messed with the soldering the sound did change. I'm pretty sure that ShoreLine was selling defective items and not accepting returns.
