Looking for iem's with mic for my nexus 7

I looking for a cheap pair of iems with a mic that will work with my Nexus 7

will be using them mainly with skype

any recommendations?

if its only for skype there are tons of no name options out there in your local store or on amazon. Meelectronics makes a lot of options if you want something that can be a servicable music set as well as skype devices.

Had a pair of Meelectronics that i tried using with my Archos 43. for some reason the would not work with it very well. you had to hold down one of the buttons or else the volume was muffled . would work fine when plugged into my clip

Look for iem's with a single click controller. Those will work fine for you. Now, just choose a set that's cheap. Me, I'd also recommend the MeElectronics. The issue you had seems to be Archos related,...which is no surprise to me. Archos sux,...

Well i emailed Meelectronics to see which one of their iem's would work best with my Nexus 7. and they said they will not work with it.

so then i emailed Asus about and this is the reply i got

Dear Valued Customer,

I'm afraid that it doesn't support wired headset microphone. It's just a tablet.

Yeah there is no audio in on the Nexus 7, so no point in trying to get a microphone for it.

Funny, but the Samsung tablets work great with the mic & clicker controller. And it's also just a tablet,...

doesnt it have bluetooth? you could use any bluetooth headset if it does.
