![]() Nokia has officially announced the Lumia 505, a budget-conscious Windows Phone 7.x handset that ships with the upcoming 7.8 OS update. Exclusive to the Mexican carrier Telcel, the Lumia 505 is a variant of the Lumia 510, which Nokia revealed around the end of October. As a result, it packs many of the same features, such as the Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 processor, 256MB of RAM, and just 4GB of storage. There are, however, a few differences. The 8MP camera is much nicer than the one on the Lumia 510, but this comes at the expense of a slightly smaller 3.7-inch AMOLED WVGA display and seven hours of talk time (600 hours on standby) with the 1300mAh battery. Also included are the standard Bluetooth 2.1 and 802.11b/g/n WiFi connectivity options. Telcel has yet to announce pricing and availability for the Nokia Lumia 505, but chances are it’ll be priced similarly to the Lumia 510, which retails for just $199 off contract. Which device do you prefer? The Lumia 505 or the Lumia 510? [Nokia via Neowin]
