![]() Windows 8 and Windows RT have been available on numerous devices for more than a month, but one form factor has been strangely absent: 7 to 8-inch tablets. But if The Verge is correct, we could be seeing them sometime next year with the release of “Windows Blue.” At the moment, most Windows tablets are of the larger variety, and you’d be hard pressed to find one that’s the size of a Nexus 7 or Kindle Fire. In fact, they don’t even exist. Windows Blue, which is due sometime in mid-2013 and expected to improve upon Windows 8/RT with new UI elements and other features, aims to change that. I, for one, would like to see smaller Windows tablets. 10-inch-plus devices are great, but there are times when they’re just a little bit too big; particularly when it comes to reading. With any luck, you’ll be able to get Windows on any size tablet within the next year. What size tablet do you prefer? [The Verge via Neowin]

Only size tablet I have tried is the 7" variety. I would be curious to try one of the larger ones, but the opportunity has not arisen.
