That's a great deal but I still can't get past the no expandable memory! I went with the Paperwhite and loving it. Big improvement over my old kindle.

Do you already have a lot of Kindle format books? I'm guessing so, having had the iPad for as long as you have.

I have the kindle app on a few devices, but I want an actual book type reader. I don't like the iPad 2 for reading, it hurts my eyes (the screen fatigues my eyes). And my phone isn't bad, but I want a separate device. ***sigh***

Which Kindle do you want? Are you waiting for a sale to buy one? I'm sure they will have more Holiday sales in the next few weeks.

I want the plain paper type but with the back light - like the Paperwhite, NOT the color HD models. I'd gladly get a refurb,...but they don't have any yet. I might settle for a low cost non backlit model tho.
