Hi, this is my first post. I got a ZVM/30 back in 2006, and one day in 2009 it got really hot and wouldn't charge or turn on thereafter. Recently I got it into my head to try and revive it, so I bought a new battery, installed it, and now have it charging from a wall socket. The charge light is on, and steady blue.
Without unplugging it, I tried to turn it on after a few hours, but nothing happened. I've read that I would probably need to leave it on the charger overnight, but I wanted to ask the general opinion; what should I do/expect next? Considering that the player sat defunct for three years, I'm not even sure if a revival is possible. What next? |

I experienced these same symptoms with my father's Vision:M and in swap-testing parts from mine to his, found it to be a failed logicboard.
If it's worth it to you (≲$70 incl. S&H) you can still get one on eBay here. One of the two boards I've needed was ordered from them so I can vouch. |
