hi i need a small mp4 player like this

hi i'm looking for an mp4 player that has a 1.8 inch screen and the screen is touch so the whole player is 1.8 inch something like a nano 6 but with video like this one here for example (but a better brand than this chinese one
p.s: it wouldn't be TOO bad if there is an addition of bottons below if it's REALLY small and not double the screen size. Thanks in advance! hemi.

So you want a brand name ipod nano knock off, unfortunately I haven't run into any that I could personally recommend myself. Any cheap mp3 players with touchscreens that I have run into have been laden with issues from poor controls to an unnavigable UI or memory problems. If you didn't want to play video I would recommend a Sansa Clip+ with Rockbox for your mp3 player needs. Plus Clips are cheap! Which is nice

I don't see why you would want to watch video on such a small screen. Imo you should either skip the video, or get something with a larger screen.

Perhaps the Cowon C2 might be the closest high quality thing to what you are looking for? Even though it has a 2.6" screen, it is still quite small.

You won't find that design being made by any quality manufacturer. Nobody wants to get sued that badly. I removed the link to the supplier of that player. I had a search result bring me back here and I don't want to help getting that terrible thing sold.

Cowon, Sony and iPods do small screen video fairly well. If you want more suggestions you can take a look here http://www.anythingbutipod.com/forum...ad.php?t=59950 and add that info into your post. I don't think there's anything that really fits your criteria but someone may have a suggestion if you add more for them to work with.

why bother watching video on something so small? edit i work at a grocery store called jewel osco and they sell something that looks exactly like the ipod nano with a micro sd card slot for $30. haven't bothered buying one because it's probably crap. might be worth checking out though

I couldn't watch more than a few minutes of video on a screen any smaller than 4". That was the main reason I traded away my 4th-gen Touch after getting my SGP 5.0....couldn't go back to the 3.5" screen. Now, even though my phone's 4" screen is pretty good, I watch most of my videos on my tablet, if I am using a portable device.

first of all- WOW thanks everybody for all the replies! umm sansa is good and they even have a relatively small video player but its too big for me. but i found something close to what i want and its called nano 3rd gen. its pretty small (2 inch screen) and the buttons addition is small the lengh of it is about 7 cm which is great for me... so is there anything like that? but not from ApPLe?

this is a bit too big. i want a small one because i'm religious (i was secular and became religious couple of years ago and it doesn't look good for a religious person to go around with an iphone/ipod large video player because we religious ppl don't watch movies and even though its for nature films or animated films which r clean still i don't want to watch on a large screen but a small more *private* screen like on long bus rides etc. and i want it mostly for music and *rarely* for videos of nature films or animated films etc. and since i'm religious its not something im proud of even though i come from a secular background, so a tiny screen is way enough, like i said above the nano 3 is great (and even that is too big for me so all the more the c2 you brought is even bigger... so something like the nano 3 or smaller. Thanks!

first of all THANKS for the GREAT hospitality!!! and in the thread u brought i saw many players but they didn't talk about the type that i need, as i said above- the nano 3 looks great but it's apple... so i want something exactly like that or even **Smaller** its lengh is 70 mm i had a 66 mm one (bad quality i think it was chinese) but its size was Perfect 66 mm so the nano 3 is even a bit too big as i explained above to JK98, so do u know of anything like the nano 3 or smaller? T-H-A-N-K-S again, big time for all the responses!!! love u guys.

for the reason i need it, Even 1.8 inch is enough, as i explained above to JK98, i rarely use it for the videos but still i want that abilty. thanks.

i have no idea what brand it is. i think it's called ever something. not sure if it does video. all i know is that we sell it and we've had about 3 sitting on the counter for months and haven't sold a single one. if you barerly use it for videos then why not just get something cheap like a clip zip and then carry an additional device for video when you know you will be using video?

The players with smaller screens that do have video usually have poor resolution or very incomplete video support. I say skip the video and get a Sandisk Clip+ or Clip Zip.

different religions and denominations have different beliefs and priorities. This is also not relevant to the thread and is an area that can get out of hand really quickly. the nano 3 is fine for me dude. i had a smaller player and it was fine. so anything like the nano 3 or even a little smaller is fine. thanks.

Why anyone one wants a certain type of player doesn't need to be justified. There's been some that have wanted to kill or hide the radio function on players for religious or political reasons. Instead of digging into their beliefs the reasonable thing to do is to look towards helping them find the device they need. Tolerance towards others has been how things happen here. Let's stay in that vein.

That applies to all parties. If this turns into a debate of the spiritual vs. the secular, that won't help in finding finding a small video player. Let's end that part of this right now.

The problem is just what I said before. No maker of quality products has seen a large enough demand for a device that small that does video. There's things like the one you have in your first post, video key fobs and other trinket type players but they are alll made by the same type fly by night outfits that makes that one.

The quality of constuction and included firmware is always poor. According to Yuki, another moderator that really knows electronics, they can be danfgerous to try to charge. The quality controls that the big boys have in place don't exist with these makers. If your house burns down there won't be anybody to sue. They just move down the road, change the name on the sign and keep turning out the same low quality product.

but i just gave an example of an ipod nano 3 gen. that is small and is great quality and is almost perfect for me and also i saw a panasonic or phillips one that have the same size of player and video screen as that nano 3 but it wasn't that good. so there r players like that from great brands just need to somehow find them or i'll (if there's no other choice) then i'll get the nano 3...

The Nano 3rd generation was discontinued 4 years ago, so it is unlikely to find one with a battery that holds a decent charge. I guess if you can buy one that works cheap enough, then you could pay to have the battery replaced.

Video is now being used for religious lectures and presentations, so I don't see anything wrong with a religious person having a decent portable video player(unless they are Amish).
