Hello,
I have a sansa clip+ (had sansa clip before) and I don't know what's wrong with it. I had it for 2 years and it worked very fine, but a month back I went running, came back turned it off and the next day couldn't turn it back on. Tried to reset it but no luck. When I connect it to my computer nothing happens. Any help? |

How long did you hold the reset button for? You should try 20 seconds or more. If that doesn't bring it back, leave it alone for 3 or more days, plug it in to pc and see if it connects. If it does, leave it in long enough for a full charge and before disconnecting it run CHKDSK.

And sometimes, you need to leave it connected to your computer (or another power source) for many hours (try overnight or a day or more) to trickle charge the player back to be usable.

If it seems completely dead possibly a disconnected battery lead. As a last resort (after trying all suggestions), pry it open and take a look.

The maker doesn't sell parts and no one has ever reported finding another source for sandisk player parts.

Might as well buy a new player. The only thing left is the battery.

And of course it could even be that. The problem with anything these days is for certain products and problems you can only know for sure your diagnoses is correct is to replace a part and if you guessed wrong you're out of luck.
In this case the replacement cost of the product makes heroic efforts at fixing not worthwhile. |

Your last resort http://www.rockbox.org/wiki/SansaAMS#Unbricking and you would also benefit from reading http://forums.rockbox.org/index.php?topic=29115.0

I've dismantled the player, the leds for the buttons are giving away blue light but the screen doesn't come on.
