Alternatives to the Archos 48?

My third Archos 48 just died (all from different causes). Now that it's not under warranty, I think it's time to move on.

For my replacement, internet speed and features aren't terribly important (the Archos was mediocre at best but I could live with it). What IS important is its function as a high capacity PMP.

I'm interested most in the following (listed in order of importance):

1. Storage capacity (I had used 220GB on the Archos)
2. Lossless audio (FLAC) capability
3. compatibility with as many video file formats as possible
4. Screen size
5. Screen resolution
6. ease of (and maximum control over) transfering and organizing files.

I wish money was no object, but I was hoping I won't have to spend more than US250-300 (the Archos 48 can be had for about $175 now)

Any ideas what devices to consider?
