![]() Lenovo officially announced the ThinkPad Tablet 2 at a New York event earlier today, confirming the specs which leaked online one week ago. The Chinese manufacturer plans to sell the Windows 8 Pro device for an as-yet-unspecified price this fall, most likely beginning on October 26 when Microsoft’s next big operating system becomes publically available. As previously reported, the 1.3lb and 9.8mm thick ThinkPad Tablet 2 features a 10.1-inch 1366 x 168 display, front- and back-facing cameras (2MP and 8MP, respectively), and ten hours of battery life. It also includes a dual-core Intel Atom processor, 2GB of RAM, 64GB of internal memory, and the option of either WiFi-only, WiFi + AT&T 3G, or WiFi + AT&T 4G LTE. Lenovo also plans to sell a model equipped with a pen and fingerprint reader, and you’ll also be able to pick up a keyboard dock with Lenovo’s trademark mouse pointing stick. If you’re in the market for a Windows 8 Pro tablet this fall and don’t want to wait until January/February for the Surface Pro, the Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet 2 might be a compelling alternative. Do you prefer Intel- or ARM-based tablets? [Lenovo via The Verge]

Yummy.
that's a thin display! Lol for any who don't know and don't want to google, it's 768, not 168.What is that aspect ratio? It's almost 16:9, but not quite. It's more like 16:8.9, which is really weird. Or am I (and the post linked to in OP) wrong about the numbers? |
