Verizon has “secret” Share Everything tiers ranging up to 20GB for $150

AT&T’s Mobile Share data plans go live on August 23, and Verizon has responded by quietly unveiling a few hidden tiers for its Share Everything plans. While it might look like Verizon will only let you go up to 10GB of shared data for a $100 monthly account access fee, the company actually offers five additional plans ranging up to 20GB, just like AT&T.

To gain access to one of these “secret” tiers, all you have to do is politely ask a Verizon Wireless representative. This will work in stores or over the phone. Once you do, you’ll be able to choose between 12GB for $110, 14GB for $120, 16GB for $130, 18GB for $140, or 20GB for $150 per month. As always, going over your monthly allotment will incur overage charges of $15 for every 1GB over the limit.

It’s worth noting that if you were to put ten smartphones on the 20GB plan on AT&T, it would cost you $500 per month, as opposed to $550 on Verizon. This is due to AT&T’s line access fee, which decreases with every smartphone you add to your account. Verizon, however, is cheaper for those with a single smartphone on the 1GB plan ($90 versus $95).
