Planning on buying an i10, but it i heard it isn't 64-bit windows friendly.

I heard that it doesn't like linux, mac or 64bit windows operating systems. Is it a major problem, or is there a way around it?

You can always change it to connect in MSC via the settings.

You change that protocol via the general settings within the i10 before you connect it. Then the i10 will connect like any other thumb drive in MSC mode. The other option on the i10 withing that setting is MTP, which I doubt works on a mac or linux. If you are not familiar with the two, you can read about the protocol here. While I'm not a mac guy, I've read that when disconnecting from a mac you must safely eject the device, problems only arise when you don't.

BTW I run all my cowon's and sansa's in MSC mode, drag & drop ftw

I currently own a philips gogear spark (4gb) but it's running low in memory, so i decided to get a memory upgrade. I've owned it for 4 or 5 years, and it's been an amazing little mp3 player, my first infact. The sound quality isn't anything mind blowing, but you can't go wrong for £40, considering i was always getting asked "Wow! How does it work!?" and "Is it a touchscreen?". Quite amazing considering it's outdated

Also, i'm ok with drag and drop. I'm techy enough for that! My gogear used either philips songbird or drag and drop, but songbird was a pain. Drag and drop, most definitely ftw!

The i10 is a big jump in size from the philips gogear spark, I'd think you'd be looking at a Sansa Clip + or Clip Zip for their expansion slot and similar size to the philips. Although I really like cowon's sound enhancements called JetEffects, which I enjoy occasionally on one of my two cowon's. Congrats and hope you enjoy your new player

Yeah, i thought seen as my wallet is kind of heavy, i should go all out and get myself a cowon. I was going to get a z2, s9 or j3, but my wallet isn't that fat!
