Well myPodder installed itself on my Cowon, no Win installation needed. It's like a rar file where you can pack it up in for example the Podcast folder in your player.

i'm running from a binary extracted to a folder in linux. should be able to do the same thing in windows. Just extract the folder to your player. Should be able to run it off of there. in windows you are able to select an install directory for most apps. try using your player in msc mode and selecting that when installing gpodder.

Just checked it's a python script. Windows should be different though. Try downloading the exe and see if it gives you the option to chose install folder. If it does just select your player and let it do it's thing. When it's done it should have an executable stored on the player itself. I remember installing it on a flash drive before for use on campus and it worked fine. When you install programs on windows it just stores the actual program in c/program files and the icon links to the executable. You should just be able to install and run off any external storage.

Media Monkey had podcast feature built into it. Also a great music organizer.

Very happy with Media Monkey - automatically downloads my podcasts and automatically synchs them when I connect my Clip.

You run the portable version in your mp3-player?
