I was thinking with the use of a male microUSB to female USB (OTG) adapter you could add extra storage to an Android device without that much bulk and coast. Flash drives or microsd card readers are considerably smaller than vast majority of headphone amplifiers. If people are willing to log those around than having flash drive connected to your device for extra storage seems very reasonable. What do you guys think?

Sure, except that the USB cable sticking out is still a bit of a hassle to deal with.
Also I think most people that lug around headphone amplifiers with their devices are in most cases doing that for the sole purpose of having their status symbol on display. |

True that. you think they could develop a phone case that hold extra memory and had a discrete usb connector that doesn't stick out. They have cases that add extra battery life so a case that had extra storage would be doable. I guess maybe demand wouldn't be high enough.
