i10 Track Ordering

I cannot figure out if it is possible to order tracks on the i10 by number instead of name. I would like to organize the tracks based on number without adding the number to the name of the song. Does anybody know how to do this?

Have you tried editing the tags? I use mp3tag as it's free and works fine for all my editing needs.

The songs are already tagged, so they have track numbers and other information. On the player, though, all the songs are organized by track name only.

What type files are they? Cowons play AAC files but since they aren't officially supported the track ordering has been alphabetical in the Music browser on the other one I've used. If they are AAC files the numbering should show in the File browser.

If they're not AAC files and are properly tagged I'm stumped.

Almost all of the files are MP3, but the problem remains. I've even tried organizing the tracks by number in the folders with windows explorer, but the track number doesn't seem to appear anywhere in the UI of the player.

Did you edit the tags to show only what you want? Again look at them with mp3tag to see what is written and edit them to what you want to see.

Thanks for the tip on the tag program; it's highly useful.

I figured out the problem. I was going to the music folders, where everything is organized by file name. If you enter through "artist", "album", etc., then everything is based on the tags and organized by track number. Still, it's a bit confusing.
