Yeah, I stopped at In-&-Out today and its alright. There is a local place that has a double quarter pounder with bacon and cheddar that is EXCELLENT. They will even put Swiss cheese, sauteed mushrooms, and jalapeno's for free. Costs 6$ burger only, but hell its better than any Red Robin burger.

Well I actually like Chic-fil-a. It's good, but nothing special IMO.

That's what I mean. I don't dislike it, I just can't justify spending more there than at McDonald's for a comparable sandwich.

I've never had a Chic-fil-a meal.

If you ever go to In & Out, don't forget about their "secret menu". I'd suggest the "animal style" double-double with animal fries. It's not haute-cuisine, but for a fast food burger it's very respectable.

Samich looks F-n awesome. I think it needs more bacon too.

I really enjoyed Chik fil a but since the one open up here a few months ago. I really hasn't been that good.

I really like In and Out and their simplicity is stellar. Here in the midwest the is Culver's to me they are to top burger joint in my area. Along those lines Des Moines Iowa has B-Bops. I always visit one when I travel through there. Toasted butter bun (butter burger) fast, low priced, Custard and the original A&W Root Beer recipe. I wish for a Steak & Shake or a Waffle House.

If the bun is toasted good but if grilled-toasted better. The Grilled Cheese has to be the bomb!

Culver's is awesome, too! Their cheese curds... Mm!

Steak 'n Shake is actually a personal favorite of mine, particularly for their shakes. Banana + Chocolate side by side to wash down a delicious tripple patty, egg filled, bacon loaded burger is the way to go!

Stop it! I really am a hankern' for a delicious Side by Side Shake. Banana and Chocolate is my personal favorite.

On another note there has been a rash of "Gourmet" burger places in my city in the past few years. If you have to quantify your burger with "Gourmet" then it isn't really a good burger. Like saying Rap Music, it is not music if you have to use music to quantify it. Red Robin, SmashBurger, BurgerStar, Blanc, et al. All not that good. Five Guys is decent but not worth the price of admission. Red Robin is top on the list of overprice mediocre burgers; they plain suck! The more you add to the burger the less taste of the burger you are goin' to get and most places do this because of low quality bread and or meat.

One of the worst burger experiences I've ever had in my life is with Five Guys. And I generally eat a burger no matter where I go, if its on the menu, thats what I order. I can't even recite the name of Five Guys verbally without adding copious amounts of vulgarity to it. I'd take Red Robin over Five Guys any day, and thats even considering paying the extra money.

We don't have In N Out where I live so the best burger I have eaten is Fuddruckers. We have Five Guys, but I never tried them before.

Fuddruckers used to be good but in the past decade they kind of fell off. I went there about 8 mos ago and was not impressed. I was traveling through Oklahoma recently and in Ok. they have Onion burgers. I have to say that this should be national instead of a regional thing.

I was at a Polish (Beer) festival yesterday and the Fatty Burger came up in conversation and I was told of a place here locally that serves up one as pictured. If I can only remember the name of the restaurant.

In-And-Out was awesome (animal style IS the way to go, BTW), but still not as good as Steak 'n Shake in my opinion, but still both damn fine burger joints, IMHO.

Beef and pork are the only significant food sources of carnitine. There are vegan carnitine supplements though.

If I had to go vegan I would starve.

They are all good, although my fav is the triple cheeseburger. The steak franks are equally amazing, as well.

The Frisco Melt is my personal fave. I order it every time I venture back to Michigan. Not a fan of their toothpick fries, though.

I am not vegan, but I do eat a mostly vegan diet. I do eat plain yogurt and eggs often, and occasionally eat some fish. Eating vegan isn't that hard if you know what you are doing, and learn to like nuts and seeds, lentils, chickpeas and tofu. Some also like beans, although I can't eat them. Vegans also need to take supplements though, especially vitamin B12, carnitine, and zinc.
