New Toy For Me!

Hi,
Just received a nice little box from the postman. A new 8gb Clip+
Didn't know what the package was at first, couldn't believe the size of the actual player.
On the YouTube videos it looks a 'lot' bigger than when its in your hand.
Its a beltin little player! ...and FLAC! :-D
Enjoying it so much more than my ZHD already lol. (I will miss that big oled screen though)
So just transferring Pink Floyds Discovery Box Set over now...Will have a proper listen later on today. Oh and FLAC! :-) (as you can tell I'm pretty happy with that! Been too long with LAME 320's on my HD)
Right then, just finished my night shift for the week so a few beers and a bacon butty are in order I think!

I'm curious, but not really sure I want to know what a "bacon butty" is. Especailly after a few beers.

So it's just a bacon sandwich on a toasted, buttered roll with maybe some A-1 or worcestershire sauce on it. Whew, that's a relief! With a name like "butty" I wasn't sure.

Personally, I prefer BLT's (Bacon, Lettuce & Tomato) on lightly toasted sourdough w/mayo and sharp cheddar cheese melted on top. And definitely a nice cold brewsky to wash it down with.

ah i love me a B.L.T, only had the bacon in house so went with white farmhouse with some freshly cracked black pepper and a few bud's. Happy Days!
So I've been happily listening away all day on my new clip+ and I'm mightily impressed with what you get for your money. After around an hour messing around in the settings etc, the one thing annoying me was the volume control (I didn't know at the time that setting to Europe had lower volume??!) so I went ahead and installed Rockbox...and Oh boy I'm glad I did, this freeware truly makes the clip+ special! Huge storage, mult codec player for less than a night in the pub! :-)
Such an awesome player!
Well been up for over 26 hours now!, doesn't the day fly by when your enjoying yourself!
Better get some shut eye....well maybe just one more album eh ;-)

I only run rockbox on mine as well and congratulate you on selecting it for obvious reasons. FYI - if you install any other FW version other than EU version it removes the volume restriction.

Yeah, I did come across tbat whilst scouring the forums for info in the clip+
I do have one regret though.......and that is for not purchasing one of these eons ago (well a year at least!)
Just in bed listening to Paul Weller Stanley Road and it just sounds so good. (can't wear iems anymore due to an accident, so been rocking some Yuin PK2's which are highly underrated IMHO! there like

Or just reset the Factory Settings and select "Rest of World" instead of "Europe". Wasn't it nice of SanDisk to provide that "out" for you guys in the EU while still complying with the stupid laws?

So a bacon butty is like a bacon cheeseburger w/o the burger. Hey I could dig that, I mean I like the bacon and I often think,'Why not forgo the burger and just have the bacon?' Then I imagine a chain of fast foodjoints serving 'World Famous Burgerless Bacon Cheeseburgers'. Well you just had to destroy my dream, oh well. If I ever get to England again, I'll have to have a bacon butty.
