I own an Inspiron 1525, and it's survived well throughout the years I have been using it. However, the sound quality is horrendous when I plug in my earbuds to listen to music or watch a YouTube video.
The noise is very loud and it variates. For example, if the fan speeds up at some point, there is a tone which is rising frequency. With this laptop, it's like you are listening to an orchestra of high pitched beeps. It might be just my IEM's, as it is most audible on my s4's. Is there an easy/cheap way to fix this? |

Why not look at a low cost DAC like the FiiO E10 to bypass your onboard sound card.

Thanks
. I'll look into it. I think this and a better processor should give the old inspiron a new lease on life.
