Default Audiobooks on Sansa Clip Zip

I have the 8GB silver original Sansa Clip player, and I use it only for audiobooks. I really like the user interface on the player. But, I've had it for around 5 years now, and the battery time is not what it used to be...

I've tried the Sansa Clip+. but never liked it as much as my old player.
Is the Clip Zip and the Clip+ similar...?

And the card is interesting. Can I use the card for books as well? Will they be able to play on the card, the same way as the audiobook-part of the player?
I never got the hang on that on the Clip+... Can anyone please explain to me how this works...?

And the buttons on the Clip is uplight. The Clip+ was not...
How is it on the Clip Zip...?

I hope someone will take the time to answer these questions for me.
I can't find a store who sells the Clip Zip, so I cant try it before I buy.
I have to order it on the internet.

Thank you for any answers or input.

Yes they are similar, although the menu system is modeled after the Sansa Fuze+ (Thank God is doesn't have the same touchpad).

Yes. As long as the book files are in the Audiobooks folder or the Genre field of the ID3 tag is "Audio Book".

No. The Zip does not have illuminated buttons.

Will the card have an audiobook folder as well, when I use it in the player...? I mean, like the player it self...? Will the files on the card be bookmarked...?

ID3 tags, is that the same as iTunes does with the books...? I have Mac.

Tula:

IMO the Clip+ is closer to the Clip than the Clip Zip is to the Clip. But I don't use Audiobooks.)

Heck there is hardly any difference between the original Clip and the Clip+.

What exactly didn't you like about the Clip+?

FreeZ5: I actually don't know. I borrowed it from a friend over a weekend, but I never really liked it. The menus were a little different, and I never godt comfortable with it. The buttons squeeked a lot more than my Clip. The feeling of not liking it have just stuck, and I never wanted to get one. But now is the old one so weary that I have to buy a new one, and I think I want to go for the Zip over the Clip+. =)

Mikerman: Thanks for your answer. =)

I bought one yesterday, and have now tested it a little bit. The player is perfect for audiobooks! It works just like I wanted! Thank you for your reply. Much appreciated!
