Ebay T10 Died After V1.77 Firmware Install

I have several T10s. I tried to update this one from v1.23 to v1.77 firmware. It seemed to be working prior to the install attempt. I used Iriver Firmware Installer v2.7.0.0 to install v1.77 firware. As I have done with my other T10s, I followed the prompts in the installer windows and got to the point where it told me to disconnect the T10 and leave it alone while it does the install. I left it alone all night. In the morning, seeing a black screen, I pushed the on button and saw the Firmware Installer screen telling me not to touch it. It couldn't have taken all night, so I pushed the on button. And that's all she wrote. Dead on arival. Nothing I do seems to bring her back to life. New battery, nope. Reconnect to USB, nope ???????????
Is it hopeless??? Can I bring the light back to the screen?? Good for junk parts, I guess and for satisfying my curiosity as to what's in that case !!!!!!
