Default Stuck with Rockbox

I downloaded Rockbox and installed it onto my Sansa +. As I don't like it and prefer the original firmware, how do I get rid of it ? All the music files I have downloaded since Rockbox that were installed don't show in Sansa mode, even though they are in the same"music" file. When I try to run the Sansa software for uploading the latest firmware, it doesn't work. If I go into "My computer" and manually delete the Rockbox files, they still show when I boot up the player offline.

Any help would be appreciated.

Use the Rockbox Utility to uninstall Rockbox. This will delete all the Rockbox files. But as the RB bootloader is incorporated into the OF, you'll have to re-install this (the OF). After this, your player should be back to it's original condition before Rockbox.

That's just it. I can't seem to get past re-installing the original bootloader. I uninstalled Rockbox. I extracted the zip with the original firmware onto the clip. Unplugged the clip from the USB and Rockbox still showing but only in "bootloader usb mode"

I am sorry but for me this is very confusing and frustrating. I just wat to get rid of Rockbox.

Impossible that you were using the original firmware or it would have removed rockbox, you probably are using a patched version of the original firmware.

How confusing can it be? Below I've listed it the easiest way I can explain ...

1 - Are you sure you own a Clip + model? I only state this because it’s hard to decifer from your posting “Sansa +” in the original post. If it's not a Sansa Clip + do not proceed. If yes then this will work.
2 - Download a un-patched version of the original firmware 01.02.16 here and place it on your desktop.
3 - Unzip the clipplus01.02.16 zipped file and you will get a file called clppa.bin, leave it there on your desktop.
4 - Turn on your Clip + booting into the Sansa firmware, if you don’t know how to do that: (rockbox has a dual-boot feature. To boot into the original firmware, press and hold the Left button while turning on the player).
5 - While in the original firmware, navigate to settings/system settings/USB mode, now make sure you select MSC mode.
6 - While the player is still on in the Sansa firmware connect your player to your PC. If “auto play” window pops up on your screen, select “open folder to view files.” If auto play does not pop up then open "windows explorer" and look on the left pain under computer for new drive letters.
7 - Now you’ll see an “explorer window” with the tree on the left pain (on mine the player pops up as “Removable Disk F” and the microSD card is “Removable Disk G.” The root of your player is the "F" drive, note the drive letters that pop up for you maybe different depending on how many other drives are already assigned drive letters on you pc.
8 - Copy and paste the unzipped file called clppa.bin from step 3 into “Removable Disk F.” Again on your pc it might be a different drive letter for the root of your player and if you can not identify the root let us know.
9 - Once completed the transfer, you can disconnect the player and it should automatically start the firmware update, once complete turn it off.

Thank you very much. That worked fine. I think the mistake I made was not to have the player in original firmware mode, instead of Rockbox which defaults when you plug it into the USB. Everything else I had done correctly.

I’m glad you got it back the way you like it, that said rockbox is a far superior firmware than the original firmware. I honestly think the mistake most people make is not reading the manual. I only state that because every question that I’ve read on these boards is always answered in the manual, including this one. That said, I know it’s not for everyone or you would not have stated "I don't like it" and you wouldn't be asking for help to remove it.
