I have used my Nano Plus for about 6 months now with no problems. All of a sudden got the blue screen of death when connecting to computer. The screen indicates a bug_code error. The player still works great but can't connect using 2 different computers and a laptop. Can anyone give me a clue to what is going on?

So you're getting BSoD every time you plug in, on all three computers?

I did the recovery mode, reinstalled new drivers and firmware and still get the BSOD.Creative is no help. They want me to send it in with $25 because it's over 90 days old.I guess I should have read the warranty a little closer.Oh well, got a new Sansa e250 with a real warranty and very happy with it.Goodby Creative.

Well, I'm sorry it didn't work out, but you've found a player that meets your needs and makes you happy, and that's what counts.

Thanks Zenchick. What makes it bad is the player works perfectly.I have music and audio books on it and everything works great, just can't add anything to it.I still want to get it working so I will search untill I find a cure if there is one.

If anyone else wants to chime in with any other ideas that would be great.I hate to give up on this player.

I would try manually deleting everything off the player, uninstalling the Creative software off the computer, reinstalling it, restart, use a different usb port and cross my fingers.

write down the exact error message and google it. It's hard to figure out what's going on without the exzact error code.

The E250 pwns the nano, especially now that it's price has dropped.

from what i can tell googling quickly, the E250 sells for about $120. - still twice the price of the nano...unless cnet hasn't caught up with current prices?

I think you will be happy with the Sansa. I have two San disk players and they have done excellent for me. Outgrew one in terms of storage. Hoping not to have to upgrade again until at july 4th, but let's see, and if and when I do it will msot likely also be a sandisk.

Although I'm all for posting in one of the most inactive sub-forums here, just please watch the threads that you revive. This thread has been dead for almost 2 years.
