When Microsoft
removed access to the Windows Phone Marketplace from the Zune software client, it left a select few regions unable to access the Marketplace from a traditional computer. Thankfully, this is no longer the case, as the Redmond software giant has launched the Windows Phone Web Marketplace in a whopping 22 additional countries.
Access to the Windows Phone Web Marketplace has been opened up in Bulgaria, Costa Rica, Croatia, Estonia, and Iceland, as well as Latvia, Lithuania, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey, Ukraine, Venezuela, UAE, Bahrain, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kazakhstan, Israel, Thailand, and Vietnam.
Microsoft is also taking the opportunity to remind customers that it has begun the process of
cleaning up the Marketplace, part of which includes cleaning up app keywords to facilitate better search queries. Soon, the company will also begin
requiring that devices have the Windows Phone 7.5 Mango update installed in order to access the Marketplace.
