Added, thanks for the reminder. They sure seem to generate a similar amount of hype as the Mylarones back in the day (not to mention they are probably very similar Ocvaco OEM designs).

Can you add the SoundMagic PL-30? He says that it's the "BEST"!

Added, thanks for the reminder.

Not sure if they're the "best", but since the guy you linked to compares them to the JVC Marshmallows and FX66, I'll take his word for it.

I got the black 1, but there's also white and plain (silver).

I'm curious as to how the bass response is adjusted. I see that it says max power handling 20mw.....makes me wonder what the Clip is capable of producing. A D2 or a FiiO would blow them up!

Are the Creative Ep-630's the same as the Sennheiser cx 400's? It looks like they are just rebranded:

The EP630 have the same housing as the old version CX300 (not the CX400), they come from the same OEM factory. But the drivers inside are different.

Default time for an upgrade

i had ep 630 for about six months, i gave them away to my dad and he is enjoying those.

now i wish to step up a ladder in IEM. Can experts here suggest a good upgrade to ep 630.

How is ep 830? is it better than ep 630? is it worth paying more bucks?

any other IEM? i am looking at spending some $10-15 more than i paid for ep 630, which take it to $25 - $ 35 range

Appreciate your help

thanks

any comments on the Altec Lansing UHP326 BackBeat? They are $40 on jr.com and amazon. Reviews seem to be good.

Thanks.

Hey,
I used to use Sony MDR ED 136 earphone that are similar to the Mdr ED 12 that sell today, with my Sony cassete player. And years I forgotten them, dont know how but when I used it with my walkman phone, they sounded so well better than the HPM 70 stocked earphones. Believe me I can even hear the 5hz frequency through them. Such a deep bass and clear sound.
So now that I am used to that bass and sound quality, please suggest me a new one, which might be better. Was looking for Sony ex 85, or Sennheiser ex 400 II . These two brands only available around where I live.
Please tell me.

I think that the Altec Lansing UHP336 should be added to the list. They seem

to just be rebranded ultimate ears super fi 3 ear buds. A heck of a deal too!

Has the recession affected the number of posts in such consumer product discussion forums too?

Two different members here have had PL-30's and liked them, only to have them stop working correctly shortly after they got them....makes me wonder about build quality. Just thought you might want to know.

You definitely will not need the FiiO with the Betas and/or the Fuze. Save your money.
