My nine year old son has finally saved enough money to consider getting an android tablet. It needs full (or close to full) access to Google Market Play (or whatever they're calling it these days) and the ability to integrate with Calibre e-book library. Also a good amount of storage and 1 GHz processor would be great as he will want to play games. Wifi b/g/n. Need to stay below $200, around $100-130 would be ideal. Owning a Nook Color I am familiar with rooting and whatnot but would prefer a rather simple setup. Thanks.

Staples has the Archos Tablet on sale this week for $200. The 4:3 ratio makes it ideal for reading books. The 8" size makes the tablet the right size for smaller/younger hands and not to heavy. 1.5 mhz duo-core makes it snappy and I believe it runs Ice Cream Sandwich. I can't say much about this but it did attract my attention of a proper tablet for reading documents. the 16:9 is not ideal for reading manuals or periodicals.
