Default Took it apart and now it won't turn on.

I took my sister's E-250 apart to re-solder the headphone jack. When I put it back together I couldn't turn it on. However I could connect it to and sync with the PC.
So I took it apart again and just for kicks I connected the battery directly to the board. I pressed the nub under the power button and it powered up just fine. So I put it back together and tried it again and again, it wouldn't turn on. Did I break something in the case? Any ideas?

Interesting dilemma you have. As far as soldering work, you seem to have done everything correctly. Some questions:

Did you try not to tighten the screws too tight/loose?
Were there any insulation pads accidentally removed/torn?
It's been awhile, but are there any contacts for the where the screws go in (for grounding)?
Perhaps the battery is touching the cover?

Let's us know what steps you have taking to try to resolve.

Thanks
