problem with COWON iAudio e2, plz help...!!!

Hi guys...this is my first thread in here...
I am a regular follower of this forum as it has helped me a lot in the past...

I recently bought Cowon iAudio e2 from Flipkart.
And I am using Soundmagic PL30 earphones.
The sound quality is awesome and I am very happy with the product.
But when I change equilizer settings to anything but normal, and when I put volume to maximum, sound quality degrades drastically...
I have tested my earphones on laptop at maximum volume and they are just fine...this problem is there even after upgrading the player to latest firmware...
please help...

You seem to be saying you want to know why when you activate the EQ and effects then crank it to full volume you get distortion. That would expected. Playing with or without the effects at full volume you may introduce distortion. I don't think any maker can set a DAP so it won't distort if you use it in nonstandard ways.

ohh...thanks guys for your replies...so you are saying that same problem is there for Sansa Clip+ too...???

I don't know that not getting distortion while playing at full volume and using the effects would be considered a problem by most. I can't think of anyone that wants to keep their hearing that uses a player that way.

I really can't tell you how much distortion the Clip has at full volume with the equalizer in use. I've rarely heard mine like that so I don't know if there's much distortion then. The times I've heard the Clip or any decent player at full volume has been for a few seconds and that was usually an accident.

The few times I have purposely cranked it all the way was to quickly check to see if a set of headphones could be made loud enough by a particular player. I wasn't checking for quality just volume level. As soon as I was satisfied it could be loud enough I turned it down and adjusted the overall sound at my normal listening level.
