Cowon D3 Plenue vs. Cowon J3

Hi, I have a coby MP768 mp3 player, (for some reason I always get the feeling that I am the only one on the planet that has one of these) and its slowly dying, because it went through the wash. For my next purchase, I am looking towards a Cowon D3 Plenue or Cowon J3. Can anybody help me decide? Are there any other similar players I should check out? Also, I came across the Samsung YP-M1, and I love it, but I don't know where to buy it. Can anyone help me?

Yeah, the Z2 would be a better comparison with the D3. There are a few other andorid bassed players wroth looking into, like the Sony Z and the Samsung Galaxy Player, but a better question is what would you like to see in a player and go from there. I'd go with the Z2 if you've got the coin.


Also, you might look at amazon for an older player like the YP-M1. Sometimes they'll have some that are refurbished for a good price.

Do you want Android? If yes, you want Android, then you might want to avoid the D3 since it's rather outdated hardware wise. Look around for other players or wait for the Z2. If not, the J3 will do.

where do I buy a Z2? They look really nice.. are they avaiable in the US yet? I can't find the Samsung M1 either.
Also: Has anyone heard anything about the Samsung Galaxy Player 3.6? When will it be available? I heard a rumor somewhere...

It just was released in Korea, so give it a little time to hit the rest of us. I'd say maybe 2 weeks or so,...it's a very nice player to wait for.

I don't know how good it is, but for straight audio & video, and excellent battery life as well, I'd vote Cowon J3. If you wan't Android either Cowon Z2, or the Samsung Galaxy Player 4.0 or 5.0.

I agree about the J3... I want one so badly... I like it better than the M1 except for looks - m1 looks like a sexy beast

I know nothing about the pricing on the Z2, and I don't trust the K1 (no support for it).

I own the SGP 5.0, and I owned a J3 - I'm re-purchasing another J3 (it's the ONLY player I've ever regretted selling ).
I have no idea about the SGP 3.6,...

I heard somewhere that the J3 was kind of slow. Is it really? Thats really the only bad rumor i've heard about the thing. Otherwise I'm sold.

I don't know where you got THAT idea,...it's not an Android player,...it's excellent at doing what it was designed to do - music & video. For flash games it sux!!! That's the ONLY area it's slow in,...
