Hey, that sounds like that headphone amp with 4 free pairs of headphones

aimran, this is off topic but since you're so good at finding deals, can you help look for a decent powered USB hub here in Canada. Please?

Sure, just PM the type of HUB you want (eg. # of ports, etc...), and I sent you a PM back.

Yup!!! Most replacement earpads usually cost more than that.

aimran, I got a powered hub for now, but I'll PM you if there's anything I'm looking for. Thanks for the offer.

You never know. The Chopper2 might even sound even better than the CHP-2500.

THAT I really doubt,...

BTW: The Phillips "The Stretch" cans sound pretty good amped: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16826138111

I paid $29.99, they're back up to $39.99 now. They even have the iPod remote (that works on some Android phones/devices as well).

Newegg do have "The Stretch" on sale for $30 often.

Of all the $30 and below headphones you have, is the CHP-2500 the best sound quality wise? The quest for the ultimate budget headphones is really thrilling.

The Chopper2 has some serious competition when they arrived.

I just ordered the Panasonic RP-HTF600-S (FOTM over at Head-Fi) for $25. Originally, I wasn't going to order them, but since they were $25, I bought them. I going to compare them heavily to the CHP-2500 just like I know you will with the Chopper2 to the CHP-2500.

I got the Chopper2 today, and here's what I think so far: The build quality is like the Panasonic HTX7, only somewhat cheaper - still not too bad IMO. The fit is so so, as the ear cups sit somewhat off, but can be adjusted by bending the headband & the wire harms holding the ear cups. The comfort is decent, as the pads aren't the most comfy,...but an hour or so will be do-able. Not too shabby for a deal-bought headphone. The phone control works flawlessly on my Atrix 4G (Android), so these are going to work with me. I really needed that phone compatibility feature.

Now, the sq: Not too bad actually. The don't have the massive bass that the CHP-2500's have, but they actually sound more like a reference set of cans. The mids are crisp, the highs are nice and clear (without being fatiguing), and that bass I mentioned is audible but not boomy. I actually like the very clear & revealing sq,...I dislike the lack of isolation in a closed circumaural can. They also leak sound - so everyone KNOWS your rockin' out to the Pet Shop Boys!!!

Still, considering they're supposed to be computer based phone style cans, they sound very good. I'd say the original pricing would be too much, but on sale GRAB 'EM!!! Me LIKEY!!!
