Need advice on headphone amps

I use Denon AHD2000 headphone along with Nuforce - iCON Mobile - Headphone Amp or USB/DAC.

I am not really feeling the headphone amp, so I need advice on getting a better headphone amp.

Lastly I am always on the move so there is need for me to buy another headphone, it has to be full-size headphone. I am looking at Bose AE2i Audio Headphones but I am open to suggestions.

It’s been way too long since I tried the AHD2000s and I didn’t get a chance to test amp VS not amped. That said, is it possible that you don’t feel the headphone amp because the headphones don’t need one at 25.0 ohms?

Also for your headphone recommendation, I would suggest starting a different thread in the headphone forum and see if you can provide more information like this, that way members can make better recommendations.

Edit: BTW you should try to provide more information about amp recommendation also, like budget, etc ...

I'd be more worried about the DAC with a NuForce product and such low impedance headphones. . .

From what I've seen, a lot of the Nuforce stuff is pretty bad when paired with headphones. You might get better results just driving directly from the source > headphones.

Yeah, don't worry about an amp until you have a proper DAC. Get an Echo AudioFire2 and then go from there. I'll bet the 'headphone amp' in that will do, if not then get a separate amp. But getting a decent amp with a horrible DAC doesn't make much sense.

For headphone amp my budget is $150 max while for Headphone I can do between $150-$250

I would guess something like Fiio E10 -> HD 25 might be a good choice but that's just based on things I've read.
