Hi
I am looking for something to replace my 32gb ipod touch. I realise that I've saved so much on time and electricity by having an audio player that also had my emails and a browser on it. So I'm looking for something that can do the same thing. I realise this may be a little to the left of the market, as most people have fancy phones now that will deal with emails and browsing. Also, maybe a new (or used) ipod is my best bet. I read the "Read Before Asking for Mp3 Player Recommendations" thing so here is me: Use: email, music Features: email, internet browser, music Display: Display or no display and rough size Capacity: 30gb and up connectivity: wifi connectivity Should I be looking in the phone market instead? Thanks everyone |

The Samsung Galaxy players (4.0 and 5.0) are the go to ipod touch alternatives.
If you live in a country that does not have outrageous carrier costs for smartphones, then a smartphone may also be an option. |

Do Archos or Zen players not do mail then?

Any android based device will do email.
That said, a phone is likely to be a better option since a data plan would mean that you are constantly able to receive mail, rather then just intermittently when around wifi.

^ Pretty much. Connecting to mobile internet is much more convenient than having to deal with wifi. Also it's one less device cluttering up your pockets.
It comes down to cost and whether you want to keep your phone separate from your media device. |

You could go for an Archos, but generally they aren't of the highest quality, while the Samsung players are pretty solid devices. Remember, with Android devices, you get what you pay for, be it quality or a lack of.
