When riding my motorcycle I have my J3 set on random play.
Tracks on the most part play at a comfortable level and then occasionally one comes on that makes my ears bleed. Not good when you cant get to the set to turn it down. ![]() Does anyone know how to set the J3 so that random play tracks are all set at the same volume? |

The J3 unfortunately doesn't support Replaygain or any other form of volume leveling.
What you can do is analyze the tracks on the J3 with Foobar2000 or MP3GainGUI, and write the Replaygain results into the tracks. This effectively changes the volume of the tracks - you should do it to all tracks on the player to get them to the same perceived volume level. With MP3GainGUI this is a reversible procedure, with Foobar2000 it isn't (so better do it on backup copies of your tracks, not the original ones on your computer). Foobar is MUCH faster than MP3Gain, though.

No, this is impossible. Chances are it got infected from your computer, or it was downloaded from a site that doesn't check for viruses. I have virus protection on all my computers and I have yet to see any indication of this.

MP3Gain is more than clean, it doesn't even get a single false positive from 41 virus scanners: https://www.virustotal.com/file/9f97...is/1327502684/

I think you MAY have downloaded it from an alternative website and they threw you something extra. I've been using the program for a few YEARS now, and it's virus free.

Sorry Guys I'm no techie but I have full virus protection as I'm paranoid about getting viruses and malware. All was clean until I downloaded MP3Gain.
It's the only program that I've downloaded just last week and since that download Firefox has gone haywire. I downloaded Malwarebytes today and that has hopefully got rid of it. I cannot see any other way that it's got into my system. Just saying beware that's all. |
