Why my ZuneHD has permanent place in my rotation

So I just got a Samsung Galaxy 5.0, but after using it for a while, there are definitely some things that make me miss my Zune. First and foremost, the media screen on the HD. How I miss the ability to change music/volume and play/pause without looking at the device or unlocking it. Then, there's the podcast functionality of it. The software makes it a great podcast player, and while I haven't tried podcasts on my SGP, I don't imagine it will be as blissful as it was with my Zune. the last is volume. On my ATH M50, I must turn the volume up nearly all the way on the SGP while normally I would use 22/30 on my Zune. This has been true for powerAMP, Cloudskipper, TTPod, both of google's players, and even Rockbox, which really surprised me.

So, my zune is probably going to have a permanent spot in my media playing arsenal.

Well, I haven't put it up on Amazon or anything of the sort yet, no. But my idea of a price would be far more palatable to you than the ones on Amazon now....lol. Or even the others on this very site, for that matter.

I do agree the simplicity of the Zune HD is missed by me as well,...I do get pissed at most other devices that try to do it all - especially my SGP 5.0.

Haha as a matter of fact, just went to Panera Bread, got me a hot chocolate, a baker's dozen of bagels, and a delicious minty/chocolatey cookie of some sort. While rockin' out to some new music on my ZHD. \m/

I jumped on the Android train about 2 yrs ago using a Nexus One. Great device, love it. But it certainly fell short in the music play department. On top of that, battery life was a joke when using it for music. I ended up dropping it and it was replaced via insurance with a Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant. That phone, scarred me of Android and still has left a bad taste in my mouth.

I suppose to get to my point - grabbed a WP7 (HTC Radar) in October and haven't looked back. I love my ZHD and WP7 certainly builds on top of it.
