I have a pair of Grado 325is that are about 3 months old. One month ago I had to send them in to have a driver replaced in left ear cup. It had started to crackle and pop after the cans had been in use for an hour or so. I now can hear the beginnings of crackle and pop in the right ear cup. This is exactly what happend to the left side earlier.
Has anybody else had a similar problem with the Grado 325is? I really am happy with the cans as they are really awesome to listen to, but having to possibly replace another driver is a real concern Any info or advise will be greatly appreciated. Thanking you in advance. |

Thanks for the tip. It is somewhat difficult to see inside the grill but with a magnifying glass and a good light I was able to. Insides look absolutely pristine with no hairs, lint, or dust to be seen.
I own several pairs of headphones and I am very careful in my use of all of them. I really love the Grado sound, but I am concerned that I may have just got a lemon. One bad driver is unusual but possible but two would be very unusual I think. Thank you for the suggestion anyway. |
